The company Vilsund Blue was founded in 1986. It has been dedicated to produce high quality products from Danish waters. The company have become one of the leading mussel producers in Europe. In 2010 the company received the MSC certification for sustainable fishery. The main products are wildcaught Blue Shell Mussels (Mytilus Edulis) and Flat Oysters (Osterea Edulis).
