Continental Bakeries is a company with production facilities all over Europe, specialized in the production of biscuits, bread replacements and toast. The history goes back to 1593, when Jacob Bussink started his bakery in Deventer. Various mergers and takeovers over the centuries finally resulted in the current Continental Bakeries. Until 2006 the company was operating under the name Hooimeijer.
